We are honored to have recently been awarded grants from the City of Olympia, City of Tumwater, and Thurston County to support our mission.

The City of Olympia has awarded $100,000 to RTTC. Grant funds will be used for capacity building and ADA modifications and repairs to homes located within the city limits with an emphasis on homes occupied by people 62+ years old. We are honored to have this new opportunity and partnership.

The City of Tumwater awarded RTTC $30,000 to complete critical repairs and ADA modifications for homes located in Tumwater. Mayor Pete Kmet has volunteered on Rebuilding Day projects for many years and helped install a handrail and make landscape improvements on Sharon and Doug’s home in May.

RTTC was awarded $27,480 from Thurston County to support our critical repairs program. The grant, an increase of almost $10,000 from 2020, will enable RTTC to meet basic needs such as heat, hot water, electricity, and ADA modifications. In April, we used county funds to repair a furnace for Caroline, who had lived without heat all winter. We also purchased a new hot water tank for her and are currently installing smoke and CO2 detectors, repairing her chimney and replacing broken plumbing fixtures.
