Thank you to everyone who attended and made a donation as part of our 2023 Build It! Breakfast in March! Because of the generosity of our sponsors and donors, we raised more than $50,000 to help our neighbors with everything from wheelchair ramps to plumbing repairs.
Brian Willard (pictured), a disabled military veteran, described the transformation RTTC’s volunteers and contractors made in his family’s life when we repaired his flood damaged home. Darian Lightfoot, our keynote speaker from the City of Olympia, made a powerful presentation on how RTTC preserves affordable housing. She addressed the lack of affordable housing, homelessness caused by a lack of affordable housing options, and how it is much more affordable to preserve housing than to build new housing.
The birdhouse auction was very lively and competitive! Seven lucky RTTC supporters went home with birdhouses made by TwinStar Credit Union, Oly Fed, John Erwin Remodeling, Builders FirstSource, and Rebuilding Together.
An employee from WSECU won the Panowicz Jewelry raffle and selected a beautiful wristwatch to enjoy for years to come.
